Nasi Briyani @ Sibu Bukit Lima Swimming Pool Canteen

I heard that the nasi Briyani at Sibu Bukit Lima Swimming Pool Canteen is very delicious. It is special too - in the sense that it is only available on Friday. After a few weeks of planning (yes, we planned and something always happen on our appointment date), we finnaly made it on the second week of July.

It is that real delicious? The power of curiosity finally brought along few more friends together with us to ‘investigate’ the claims.

As you can see in the photo, we were ready to attack the food which was in front of us.

Take a closer look. This is a mutton nasi Briyani. Other flavors available - chicken, beef and fish.

I just love the taste. It’s just fantastic - delicious, tickles and tantalize my taste buds.

Also, if you like spicy food, then you have found the right place. Nonetheless I still find that it is not spicy enough, although some may thought otherwise - a lady who joined us have to extinguish her taste buds with cold drinks after a few spoonful of nasi Briyani.

Borneo Cultural Festival 2009 Day 2

4th July 2009, second day of Borneo Cultural Festival.

Everyone in Sibu is having BCF fever.

Streets were crowded and the economy is running. N1H1? Economy crisis? What’s that? Sibu is in another dimension now.

Woots. Pretty girls!

Just in time! After meeting all the pretty girls, I’m so glad to meet this school of cupid. Here’s the master Cupid and his students.

Let’s go back to BCF Tradex. That little girl in red enjoyed herself soooooooo much. This was Nestle Koko Krunch Kiddie show. P/s: I pity the guy who was wearing the Koko Krunch mascot.

“Smoke gets into my eye…”

After the kiddie show, we have hair show by Alan Salon and Akademik. In between we were entertained by hot dances.

A group of ET from Mars just landed in Sibu. They’re undecided if they want to have laksa or kampua for supper. I suggested them tomyam. Opps, my imagination is a bit far.

The show started. The crowd loved the show. I love the show too.

“Sob sob sob… my hair is being cut…”

Behold, the sexiest model of the night… Miss Night Butterfly.

Do not mess with Miss Night Butterfly… you may end up like the guy in singlet.

This macho guy, well, do not judge the book by the cover. He’s a beast in disguise! To be precise, one of the four beasts seen on that night.

Four sexy macho men… who in a split second can turn into… wild wild beasts. Do not mess with them…

Borneo Cultural Festival Is Coming To Town

Finally the day came.

This year Raphael Koh Photography is honored to be awarded the task as event photographer for BCF Tradex.

It is going to be a busy and tiring period. Apologies to two lovely couples whom I have to decline to be their photographer in this period - there’s no way I can travel out station in this period. So sorry!

BCF Tradex is located in Phase 2 of Sibu’s town square. Contrary to Borneo Cultural Festival in Phase 1 which purely concentrated on showcase of each ethnic’s culture, BCF Tradex is more on promoting business entities. Here you can find few giant companies which is based in Sibu.

The weather looked challenging but praise God, stars eventually came out.

There are plenty of food to satisfy your taste buds. Believe me, the chicken wings here (in one of these stalls) tasted splendid! TRUST ME, KFC lose out to them! That’s my comment after I ate one last night. Another friend of mine shared the same opinion with me.

Something you can enjoy with.  Since we’re in Sibu, these toys are in ‘Sibu’s size’ too. LOL

Fancy the movie ‘Pirates of Caribbean’? Now you can be one too… mini pirate of Sibu. Hahaha… These ladies really enjoyed the ride. They even posed for the camera and asked for the photo at the end of their ride. LOL

Let’s have a peek at what’s going on in Phase 1. Some of the shows were rather interesting (VERY interesting actually but I had to miss most of them).

We attacked Red Carrot, in Pedada.
